Seems innocent enough for me in terms of changes. Let see if it passes the CI.

Should we maybe have a port of the changes to mcbm_event_reco_L1.C also to the mcbm_reco_L1.C macro? or is it done on purpose to minimize the amount of changes to the "main" chain?
