Are these the material maps needed for tracking? meaning the same ones which are later used by @v.akishina and @s.gorbunov?
Or are these used for a different purpose?
I am wondering because these files were not generated for any of the mSTS geometries and neither for quite a bunch of the v19 and v20 geometries.
@f.uhlig I added Mehul parameter fork by hand to the 2
CodeOwners
runners. Seems to have been the reason why the last job was getting stuck.added CodeOwners label
@p.-a.loizeau These matbudget files are not for the mSTS but rather those are for the STS. You can find the matbudget files for the previous STS version under the path ../parameters/sts/ .... For e.g., in the current cbmroot version there is sts_matbudget_v19a.root and sts_matbudget_v19i.root
These files are needed when doing the simulation with the files run_transport.C run_digi.C and run_reco.C
Better information can be obtained from the bosses who have better knowledge about this.
Thank you.
I understand. The question is whether we need to do the same process for the other geometries in the
geometry/sts
folder or not. If not, I would like to know why (e.g. "just because they were test and never meant to be used for simulation").Maybe @v.friese could explain me?
Currently the following geometries do not have a material budget in the parameter folder:
v19a_mcbm
v19b_mcbm
v19f_mcbm
v19g_mcbm
v19j
v19k
v19l
v19m
v19n
v19o
v19p
v19q
v19r
v20a_mcbm
v20b_mcbm
v20c_mcbm
v20d_mcbm
v20e_mcbm
As it may more relate to an additional MR, I can merge if people agree with it.
@p.-a.loizeau I don't know about this for what reason matbudget files of all these listed geometries are not there. But, what I have seen while executing the files run_transport.C without matbudget files, gives an error as can be seen from attached screenshot.
@m.shiroya the hash for the parameter repository in Cbmroot will need to be updated. Do you want ot do it or should I do it?
@p.-a.loizeau It would be nice if you first consult with volker or florian and then merge it to cbmroot.
I do not know how I can do it.
Thank you.

The material budget files are required for track reconstruction with L1, which throws an error on the absence of the files, as Mehul remarked. If there are STS geometries without the material budget files, they have not been used for L1 reconstruction, then. I really cannot comment on which STS geometries are in the repository and why.
